Hi. I’m Rev. Mary Beene. I have been the pastor here at Windsor Presbyterian Church for seven months now, so I think it’s time to start writing on the Pastor’s Page. This has been one of those “important, but not urgent” tasks that keeps falling to the bottom of the “to do” list. So I thought maybe if I talked about something I love, I’d move it on up the list.
My husband, Eric, is also a pastor. He is currently serving as the Transitional Mission Presbyter for the Presbytery of the Redwoods. And my son, Isaac, is at Windsor Middle School. We moved to Windsor from Savannah, GA, after spending 14 years in that wonderful community. We’re a family that loves to laugh together — in fact, Isaac’s name means laughter in Hebrew.
We’re looking forward to becoming a part of the Windsor and Sonoma County communities. Eric loves hiking and being in the outdoors, as well as photography. Isaac loves theater, especially musicals and can’t wait to be able to get together with other theater people in the area. I enjoy improv comedy and writing and have already found a couple of groups to interact with, even though we’ve had to move online. Be on the lookout for the Beenes as we find our ways to be involved! And we’re especially looking forward to meeting YOU!
