On my way to Guatemala

I am waiting at SFO for my red-eye flight to Houston, where I will then meet a medical mission team and head to Guatemala.  I am serving this week as their pastor – to some who have served in Guatemala many somehow times, for some who this is their first trip. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists – the organization is Faith in Practice.

We will travel to Anitigua Saturday and tour the Obras Sociales de Hermano Pedro (the hospital) and Case de Fe (House of Faith – something like a Ronald McDonald house). And then Sunday we’re off to Retalhuleu to set up a four-day clinic.

As the week goes, if time and wi-fi and my energy level hold up (and my limited skills with my husband’s iPad!), I  will try to blog here and share my experience. for now, I would love your prayers for the team – I am sure they and I will learn so much from the Guatemalan people!

flying in the Spirit,

Amy
